This is a poem written by by mother, Ann Hollister
David, after the death of her dog Swartzie.
Since she was in college at the time, I think the poem
was written about 1938.
Prayer For Swartzie
Oh God, be good to all little dogs, For my little dog is dead, I can do no kindess he can feel, So I only pray, instead, "Oh God, be good to all little dogs," Though my little dog is dead.
