This cemetery is located in Stony Creek Township in section #29 in the northeast corner of Henry County on the Buck Creek Pike, about ½ mile south from the Delaware/Henry County line. Jacob Houser established this cemetery sometime in the 1840s when his daughter Susanna died at the age of nine months. Her grave became the first in the Buck Creek church burial grounds.    In the 1870s the church had a membership of about 70 and a building that would seat about 700 with property valued at $1,500. The first preachers were John Bowman and Christian Holler, with Daniel Houser the elder in charge. Some of the first members were the Bechtelheimers, Samuel Brewer, David and Sarah Priddy, Christian and Margaret Acker, Jacob and Susan Himes, Jacob and Elizabeth Houser. Samuel Becktelheimer and his son Simeon were the first deacons.    The latest burial was in 2001 when Jerry Houser, a descendent of the original Housers, was buried here. There are veterans of five different wars buried here.    The cemetery for a while was receiving very little care and maintenance until just recently. There has been a new fence installed, the grounds cleaned and leveled. It looks like it is well maintained by someone. It is still available for more burials.
