This cemetery located on CR #100 north, just south of the village of Cadiz in Henry county, was established on 17 Jul 1850 when land was deeded to John Bufkin, Eli Ratliff and Jonathan Saint, elected trustees of the Friends church known as "Duck Creek." It was one of latest formed Quaker churches in Henry county.
This cemetery receives regular care and is well maintained. It is still used occasionally for burials. The first known burial in this cemetery was in 1850. This being a Quaker cemetery, undoubtedly there are unmarked burials in this cemetery.
Mr. R. Thomas Mayhill did the original tombstone recordings in the 1960s, I returned to this cemetery in September of this year (2005) to record the latest burials. There is room for many more burials in this old cemetery.
