'We whose names hereunto subscribed, do by these presents organize ourselves into a voluntary association in conformity to an act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana approved February 12, 1855 and all subsequent acts amendatory thereto for the purpose of organizing, maintaining and incorporating a military organization for drill, parade and mutual enjoyment.'

    On the organization of the company there shall be elected three commissioned officers, one Captain, one 1st Lieutenant, and one 2nd Lieutenant. The Captain shall appoint Non-commissioned officers within one week of the organization. Non-commissioned officers shall consist of one Orderly Sergeant, four Duty Sergeants and eight Corporals. One Fifer, two Drummers, one Company Clerk and Treasurer.
