2006 Day Of Caring
This year as one of the projects of the 2006 Henry County United Fund's Day of Caring, in cooperation with the Henry County Cemetery Commission, the Sulphur Springs cemetery was chosen for our workday project. With the help of volunteers Donna Tauber, Ken and Ann Holmes, Bud Bush, Mike Edwards, Vanessa Tucker, Tina Basset, Susan Bozzo, Ricci Atchison, Debi Morris, Phil King, Rich Lee, Jerry Libby, Rick McCulley and our all time favorite volunteers, back for a fourth year (I believe they just like Henry county hospitality) Mark Davis, Helen Wildermuth and her son Justin, we took on the project of resetting and cleaning tombstones, cutting the weeds and a general clean up. Everyone had a great day with nice weather, sunshine with no rain. We accomplished much for the days work around twenty some stones reset with many more cleaned. The old cemetery still needs a lot of work but with volunteers like the group we had Tuesday, we realize that it can be done. Mark, Helen and Justin couldn't make it to the banquet, so I had promised them I would take care of their pizza for them, I just wish I had laid off the pizza.
A great big Henry County thanks goes to all of you. A GREAT JOB WELL DONE!
