Madison , Kentucky. He died at Raystown, Indiana on 13 December, 1884 and is buried in Old Friends Cemetery in Spiceland, Indiana. His grave is located about 20 feet to the left of Jesse L. Smith next to a wooded area. Juriah Lamb his wife died 24 Jan.,1916 in either Lewisville or Raystown. No marker was found for her grave in this cemetery.
Jefferson Lamb and Juriah Smith are married in Madison County on 30 June, 1860.
In 1870 they are found living in Spiceland Twp in Henry County, Ind., same township as James Smith. The youngest daughter, born in Indiana.
Next to Jefferson Lamb is Samuel Lamb, age 38, born in Kentucky, Samuel Lamb married Emily Smith in Madison County, Kentucky in 1860.
Samuel Lamb married in Henry County, Ind. to Mary Ann Hudson, a widow with one son,12 June, 1869. Samuel Lamb died at the County Home, 31 July, 1910, listed as a Veteran.
Both of the Lambs are listed as farm labor.
Census records also show John Abrams and Ellender B. Smith found near James Smith. John and Elender go back to Kentucky and then John dies either in Ironton, Ohio or Greenup County. Ellender died in Greenup County, Kentucky. Both are buried in the Caroline Cemetery in Greenup County, Ky. Coffin for John was furnished by an undertaker from Ironton, Ohio.
I did not find Jesse L. Smith in Henry County, Indiana in 1870. The film is hard to read. In earlier census records, Jesse gives his birthplace as Tenn., same for daughter Nancy who married James Abrams, son of Gabriel Abrams and Susan Rose.
