This cemetery is located in Liberty Township about 1 ½ mile south of Chicago Corner on CR #850E. It was started sometime in the 1820s by William Bell as a family burial grounds, but over the years it became a neighborhood burial site.
The Bell family that used to take care of the cemetery have either all died off or moved away and the cemetery is no longer receiving any care and it is completely overgrown with day lilies and other noxious growth. Some of the burials in (Ladic) here of German descent and the stones are in German script.
The last known burial in here was in 1863. Thomas Hamm recorded this cemetery in 1973. This is the complete list for this cemetery.
