Born to Ann Hollister & Richard F. David, the first of their three children.
Grew up in Kerkhoven, Minnesota; St. Clair, Missouri; Eldon, Iowa; Tucson, Arizona; Casa Grande, Arizona; Buckeye, Arizona; Gila Bend, Arizona.
Graduated from Gila Bend High School in the mid-1960s.
Married Gerald P. Krehbiel Jr. in Winterhaven, California, in 1966.
  Two children: Paula and Gerald P. Krehbiel III; both living
   Divorced about 1973
Graduated from Mesa Community College, Mesa Arizona, in 1976 with associate's degree in business
Worked as bookkeeper for Diamond's Department Store in Tempe, Arizona, and Agro Land & Cattle in Tucson
Moved to Ajo, Arizona, in 1980 and began working at Ajo Copper News, which was family-owned
Married John Gaylon Barton December 28, 1980. No children. Divorced 1986.
Helped found Ajo Ambulance, Inc. and became a paramedic.
Currently editor of the Ajo Copper News, Ajo, Arizona, and a paramedic for Ajo Ambulance.

Ann Hollister
Born June 15, 1919, near Martinsville, Morgan County, Indiana, second child of Inger Christiansen & John Joseph Hollister. (First died at birth.)
After her father's death in a railroad accident in Ohio, Ann was brought up by her widowed mother in Larimore, North Dakota
Valedictorian of her high school class.
Graduated from Jamestown College in North Dakota with a degree in mathematics; she had poetry published in a national literary journal.
First jobs were as a reporter.
Married Richard F. David on March 31, 1946, in Dickinson, North Dakota
  Three children: Gabrielle (1947), Joseph (1951), and Hollister (1955); all living
Lived in Montana, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, Arizona.
Owned weekly newspapers with husband, usually served as editor. The last was the Ajo Copper News in Ajo, Arizona.
Died July 19, 1993, in her home in Ajo, Arizona, of debility secondary to Alzehimer's Disease.
Buried in Ajo Cemetery, Ajo, Arizona.

Richard Frederick David
Born April 17, 1919, in Killdeer, North Dakota, the second child of three children of Pearl Smith and Fred David.
Grew up near & in Killdeer, North Dakota. After father's death from cancer the family moved into town.
Graduated from high school, track star.
Attended trade school and became a linotype operator
Served in the Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II, discharged as sergeant major.
Married Ann Hollister on March 31, 1946, in Dickinson, North Dakota
  Three children: Gabrielle (1947), Joseph (1951), and Hollister (1955); all living
Lived in Montana, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, Arizona.
Owned & published weekly newspapers with wife as editor. The last was the Ajo Copper News in Ajo, Arizona.
Died July 2, 1983, of cardiac arrest near White River, Arizona, while on a camping trip.
Buried in Ajo Cemetery, Ajo, Arizona.

Inger Marie Christiansen
Born April 18, 1891, in Tyler, Minnesota, one of 12 children of Hansine Mortensen and Christ Christiansen.
Grew up in Tyler, Minnesota; and near Larimore, North Dakota.
Married John Joseph Hollister (he always called Joe) on March 31, 1917, in Larimore, North Dakota
  Two children: first died at birth, Ann
    Widowed in 1921 & returned to Larimore from Ohio
After daughter's first child was born, moved in with her family to help raise children
Lived in Montana, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, Arizona.
Died March 19, 1983, at her home in Ajo of a stroke after breaking her hip a few months earlier.
Buried in her husband's grave in Bethel Scanianavian Lutheran Church Cemetery near Larimore, North Dakota.

John Joseph Hollister
Born March 16, 1885, in St. James, Minnesota, one of the children of Eva Huntoon and Leslie E. Hollister.
Usually signed documents as J.J. and was known to everyone as Joe Hollister.
Married Inger Marie Christiansen on March 31, 1917, in Larimore, North Dakota
  Two children: first died at birth, Ann
Worked as a teamster for circus before marriage, met wife as a hand on her family's farm. After marriage was fireman for railroad.
Killed in railroad accident January 16, 1921, in Ohio.
Buried in  Bethel Scandinavian Lutheran Church Cemetery near Larimore, North Dakota.

Lillie Pearl Smith
Born September 7, 1886, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, one of the children of Celina C. Gregg and Jesse Smith
Lillie Pearl appears on her birth certificate but she normally signed herself Pearl L. and was known all her adult life as Pearl.
Homesteaded near Killdeer, North Dakota. Was one of the first school teachers there.
Married Fred David on January 10, 1917, in Killdeer, North Dakota
  Three children: Dorothy, Richard, Donald
    Widowed in 1929
After husband's death, moved into Killdeer and was the phone operator
Later lived with daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy & Willard Yule, in Bismarck, North Dakota
Died on June 27, 1956, in Bismarck, North Dakota, of Parkinson's Disease & arteriosclerosis.
