Volunteer Opportunities:
Berkeley Art Center could not exist without the help of wonderful volunteers — and we need volunteers now more than ever! Our volunteers’ time is always put to good use, assisting us at special events, gallery sitting, and helping with mailings or installing exhibitions. To find out how you can help, please e-mail us at info [at] berkeleyartcenter.org and put “Volunteer” in the subject line, or call (510) 644-6893.
Internship Opportunities
Internships at the Berkeley Art Center provide experience to aspiring artists and arts workers – experience not just for your resume, but for your future. Students pursuing related degrees in art, art history, film studies, literature, and/or art education are encouraged to apply as part of their educational program, but you do not have to be a current student to apply for these unpaid but rewarding internships. All levels of experience will be considered.
As a BAC intern, you will have a hand in all of the Center’s activities including; administrative work, fundraising, communications and development, exhibition planning and curatorial research, working with a board, interacting directly with artists and so much more.
Each intern will work directly with the Program Coordinator and the Executive Director to develop and manage a project that both reflects the interns interests and strengths as well as promoting the mission of BAC.
As of December 2013, we are actively hiring interns. Please submit your resume with a cover letter describing why you want to work at Berkeley Art Center to Amanda Kilmek: amanda [at] berkeleyartcenter.org
