Programs We Support

• The Heifer Project: "Teach a man to fish" has been the philosophy behind this creative organization since 1944. Gives animals to poor families both to feed them and earn income. These families then agree to pass on some of the animals' offspring to other needy families. 

• Habitat for Humanity: In their words: "Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action."

• UMCOR: This is the United Methodist Committee on Relief web site. These are the folks who coordinated the UM relief effort after hurricane Katrina, which is still ongoing. They fund emergency relief efforts as well as long-term projects to alleviate hunger, poverty and disease in the developing world.
