Adams Produce Goods Lewisville, Indiana about 1900 - unsure for certain who is in the photo, was ran by S. B. Adams and sons-in-law Simon Martin and Benjamin Franklin Kiplinger so it's likely them in the photo. The business did many home deliveries and they also operated a chicken hatchery. The old homestead of the David F. Hoover (1846-1919) family, Jefferson Township, Henry Co., IN (Razed in 1990s) Born in Henry County, IN, in 1846, the son of George (1814-1889) and Catherine Rife Hoover (1810-1900). He was raised a farmer but began teaching at the age of 19. He was married on February 22, 1872 to Mary C. Bouslog (1851-1908), the daughter of Strawther and Piercie (Kerlin) Bouslog. In 1882 he was elected trustee of Jefferson Township. He and his wife were members of the German Baptist church in Henry County since 1876. He was a trustee of the German Baptist Aged Person's Home and Orphanage. In the 1870s he was also Superintendent of (Union) Bethel German Baptist church, which was once, located about two miles north of Sulphur Springs in Jefferson Township. In 1877 he was elected to the first degree of the ministry and later advanced to second degree and was appointed Minister of the German Baptist church in the Southern district of Indiana. To him and his wife were born a family of seven children: Joseph L. (1872-1945), John J. (1874-1944), Grace A. (1876-1879), Charles E. (1880-1967), George H. (1881-1958), Infant daughter (1883-1883) and Paul S. Hoover (1885-1920). David and Mary Hoover along with several family members are buried in the old Bethel German Baptist church cemetery in Jefferson Township, Henry County, IN. ...Photo courtesy of Lawrence R. Hoover
